"Human-animal" by Tina Kharoufeh

Through my life especially in my DP years I started to realize a strong connection between me and animals especially dogs, that connection flourishes

for me when I had my first dog, living in my society I started to pay a8en/on that there where so many people whom abuse and take advantage of

animals for their own benefit, and that’s because these people are not educated about this topic, I have never took this situa/on into considera/on

in my life, for that reason this topic grabbed my a8en/on and wanted to explore it on a deeper level, aKer a lot of research I realized that this theme

was too general so I decided to narrow it down to the rela/onship between animals and humans I chose this topic because in this day and age animal

abuse is a topic that is addressed and there are many campaigns about the topic and so people are ware and against animal abuse, but when it comes

to animal connection I have realized that not many people understand the topic or even know about it, even though a connection with animals is

important many tend not to take it into considera/on, and so when I was asked to do pieces for art class I immediately knew what I wanted it to be

about, because I felt like I was able to portray my feelings and inner emo/ons through my art, since I have always felt like I was not able to explain

how deeply I felt about this topic verbally and so this was a chance for me to make a difference and hopefully be able to change people's mindsets
